Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan petitioned the Delhi High Court to online content removal which misrepresents her identity. The court issued a notice in response to her petition for summary judgment to stop false information about the 13-year-old from spreading.
Google and Bollywood Times along with other platforms received Legal notice regarding the matter. The next court hearing will take place on March 17.
Justice C Hari Shankar delivered a strong rebuke against content spread in 2023 while emphasizing that children should be treated with both dignity and respect. The judge declared that distributing false health information about minors goes against legal standards.
Google received court orders to disclose uploader information and eliminate misleading videos immediately. The court instructed the central government to prevent such material from spreading while reiterating the necessity for Google to adhere to legal regulations.
The court summoned YouTube channels such as "Bollywood Time", "Bolly Pakora", "Bolly Samosa", "Bollywood Shine" and others to a lawsuit after determining that a prima facie case existed to justify granting interim relief to stop further prejudicial actions.
The plaintiffs claimed that "absolutely false" videos on YouTube about her private life and health misrepresented the Amitabh Bachchan family name which was a "protectable trademark" and symbolised "highest virtues".
The content broke the minor's privacy rights and existed solely to generate shock value for gaining quick popularity to make money.

The central government received instructions to limit public access to the material in question and Google received a reminder about its obligation to follow the regulatory standards.
